10 Shows You Need To See In Mallorca

Mallorca is one of the most popular holiday destinations to visit in Europe because there is something to do for everyone both young and old. I worked in Mallorca for 3 summer seasons as a hotel entertainment manager in various different locations across the island and during that time I had the pleasure to see some amazing performances within my hotel as well as have the opportunity to see some amazing production shows on my day off. So here is my guide to the 10 shows you need to see In Mallorca.

Big Nights Out

If you want to make a night of it which includes a meal, drinks and a show that will give you a Vegas-style feel, then the first three shows are for you.

1. Pirates Adventure

One of the best shows that I have ever seen is the Pirates Adventure It literally has it all; dancing, fire performers, epic sword fights and world-class champions and Olympic Gymnasts. The Pirates Adventure takes you on a high seas adventure that puts you the audience in the centre of the action with swashbuckling pirates flying over your head the only question is which of the four leading pirates crews will you join?

All Tickets includes;

• A meal of roast chicken, potato wedges, coleslaw, bread and an ice cream cup. (Tried it myself was really tasty)
• A vegetarian option on request, but you have to let whoever you book know in advance so this can be arranged.
• Drinks include Draught Beer, Sangria, Coke, Diet Coke, Fanta and Bottled Mineral Water.

Other Information:

• The use of flash photography and videography is strictly forbidden during the main show as this could put the performer off during the main show. But the main cast does a meet and greet at the end of the show for you to get some photos.
• The Venue is Wheelchair Accessible
• There is a gift shop where you can take a souvenir of your Pirates Adventure home with you.
• Depending on who you book your Pirates Adventure Trip with you may be able to get a pick up from your hotel and back.

2. Pirates Reloaded

Pirates Reloaded brings the party from Magaluf straight to the high seas. This is a strictly over 18’s only show, that contains all the highflying, swashbuckling, top gymnastics, fire performances and amazing dancers from the Pirates Adventure. The only difference with this show is that it’s a little more spicey, has world-class DJs that guarantee to have you dancing on the tables, and these Pirates are definitely bringing sexy back, with this no-holds-barred Pirates Reloaded Adventure.

• Drinks include Draught Beer, Sangria, Coke, Diet Coke, Fanta and Bottled Mineral Water.

3. Son Amar

Son Amar started as an outdoor BBQ and became a 4000-capacity auditorium, which hosts many shows throughout the year for holidaymakers and locals alike. This show captures the true essence of Mallorcan magic with flamenco dancing, ballet, a big band, tribute acts and magicians this show contains all the magic of a Vegas-style variety show on the sun-soaked island of Mallorca.

All Tickets includes;

• Drinks include Half a bottle of wine, water and soft drinks.
• Dinner (The type of dinner depends on what type of ticket you book)

Touring Cabaret Shows

A lot of performers take their productions shows on the cabaret circuit throughout the summer season performing 6-7 nights a week for 7 months straight throughout the Hotels, bars and restaurants across the island and although it’s been 3 years since I worked on the Island, I have seen all of these guys personally and know they come back every season, year in and year out and in my personal opinion these Cabaret Acts are some of the best shows that the Island has to offer.

Comedy Shows

4. George Pena

Hailing originally from New York George Pena is known throughout the Island for his original take on stand up comedy, spoofs and of course his amazing operatic vocals. George Pena has two shows Family Man which is more geared towards family audiences and his other show Serious Funny is more for an adult audience. Whichever show you get to see George Perform you can guarantee that you will be crying with laughter. If this guy went on Britains Got Talent he would probably win it.

5. Xerox

The Xerox Comedy show is a tribute show to some of the worlds biggest celebrities including; Tina Turner, Doly Parton, Freddie Mercury and many more. The only differences with this show is that all the tributes have a comedy spin on it and the entertainment isn’t just on the stage as the Xerox team are known to go out into the audience. This show is old school entertainment with a modern flare at it’s best.

 

Tribute Shows

6. The Soulmakers

The Soul Makers are a must-see for anyone who loves the magic of Motown music, these guys look the part, have the vocals and of course have the choreography to match.

The Soulmakers have two shows which include The Temptations and the second show is the Four Tops both just as entertaining as the other.

7. Jersey’s Best

Relive the magic of Frankie and the Four Seasons, this show is done in two halves the first is a tribute to the overtones and the second is a tribute to the one and only Jersey Boys. This show is non-stop performances from the costumes, choreography and vocals nothing goes amiss in this show and the great part about the show is that the whole cast involves the audience whether it’s singing to a member of the audience or getting everyone up on their feet do not miss this show.

8. Double Vision

Double Vision is a unique tribute to Queen, fronted by the very charismatic Paul Kenan I have seen Double Vision go from and duo to a full-scale band. Whichever the line up is Double Vision really does know how to get the venue going and everyone joining in. Featuring all the best songs by the legend himself Freddie Mercury and of course, the group Queen and the great thing is they play all their own instruments which really does give the feel of a true Queen Experience.

9. Abba Again

Whether you’re a fan of Abba or the Westend show and movie musical Mamma Mia, everyone knows the songs made famous by the famous Swede’s Abba and we all love a bit of nostalgic cheese in our lives, especially when on holiday. Abba Again is a fun tribute to Abba fronted by Dave and his wife Helen who not only have the routines down and the costumes to go with it, but they also know how to get the audience interacting with them and create a fun party atmosphere that is family-friendly.

10. Remember the Time – Michael Jackson

All the way from South Africa Reyaat and his two amazing dancers have been performing this amazing Tribute to the King of Pop himself Michael Jackon for 10 years. This all singing and all dancing production show covers the very best songs and dance routines with amazing costume changes that even Michael Jackson would be proud of.
